<br/ 本标准适用于碳素钢和低合金钢制件中不连续的检测和定量。本标准也适用于其他类型材料，前提是使用衍射声时技术时要充分考虑材料的几何和声学特性以及检测的灵敏度。
本标准适用于材料中的不连续检测和GB/T 5616中所包含的应用，也包括其中提到的焊缝。选择此方法的原因在于其明确的超声探头位置和扫查方向。
除非在引用文件中另有规定，否则本标准是可适用的最低要求。
