本标准规定了采用气相色谱法定量测定在标准大气压下（101.325 kPa）低VOC含量乳胶漆中挥发性有机化合物（VOC）（罐内VOC）含量（即沸点最高可达250 ℃的有机化合物的含量）的方法。本方法适用于VOC含量在0.01%～0.1%之间（质量分数）的样品。
本方法的主要目的是判定产品是否为低VOC乳胶漆，而不是例行的质量控制。
