GB/T 24132的本部分规定了PVC涂覆织物(简称涂覆织物)的技术要求。涂覆织物是在针织物的单面充分连续均匀地涂覆一层弹性聚氯乙烯高聚物或主要成分是聚氯乙烯的共聚物而制成，这种涂层称为聚氯乙烯涂覆层。
本部分适用于致密性聚氯乙烯涂覆织物，也适用于其他两种类型的发泡聚氯乙烯涂覆织物。
