本标准规定了焊接绝热气瓶（以下简称气瓶）的定义、符号、型式、基本参数、材料、设计、制造、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、存放等要求。
本标准适用于在正常环境温度（-40 ℃～60 ℃）下使用，贮存介质为液氧、液氮、液氩、二氧化碳和氧化亚氮低温液体，设计温度不低于-196 ℃，公称容积为10 L～450 L，工作压力为0.2 MPa～3.5 MPa 可重复充装的立式气瓶。
