GB/T 24218的本部分规定了将液体(模拟尿液)分三份先后作用到非织造布包覆材料试样表面上，测定其穿透时间(STT)的方法。STT是指一定量的液体穿透铺在干燥标准吸液垫上的非织造布所需的时间。
本方法适用于非织造布包覆材料的质量控制，以及对不同非织造布包覆材料STT的比较。本方法不能模拟最终产品的实际使用条件。
