本部分的目的是要验证在经受规定的混合模式激励后,样品在功能和/或结构上不会产生不可接受的降低。当实际环境的振动测量数据具有混合模式时,用本方法剪裁振动环境特别适合。
本部分也适用于揭示随机与正弦和/或随机混合振动应力累积效应,以及由此导致的样品机械缺陷和规定性能的降低，这些信息结合有关规范可评定样品的可接受性。在某些情况下，本试验方法也适用于验证样品的机械强度。
