本标准规定了采用常规纸页成型器来制备用于物理试验的实验室纸页，以便评价纸浆的有关性质。
本标准适用于大部分种类的纸浆。但不适用于某些具有很长纤维的纸浆，如未经切短的棉纤维、亚麻和类似原料的纸浆。
本标准不适用于制备按GB/T 8940.2测定蓝光漫反射因数（ISO亮度）所用的实验室纸页。
注： 对于未经切短的长纤维纸浆，纸页的匀度也许不令人满意。
