由于胰脂酶的活性，本方法只适用于熔点45 ℃以下的油脂。
本方法不适用于含有下列组分的油脂：
——含有十二或更少碳原子的脂肪酸（如：椰子油、棕榈仁油、黄油）；
——含有二十碳或更多碳原子的高度不饱和脂肪酸（多于四个双键）（如：鱼油和海生动物油）；
——含有氧化次基团的脂肪酸。
