本标准规定了汽车碰撞时对行人保护方面的技术要求和试验方法。
本标准适用于最大设计总质量大于500 kg的M1类汽车。最大设计总质量大于500 kg但不大于4 500 kg的M2类,以及最大设计总质量大于500 kg但不大于4 500 kg的N类汽车,可参照执行。但不包括驾驶员座椅R点与前轴中心的横向平面的水平距离小于1 000 mm的M2类和N类汽车。
