本标准规定了供行动不便人员使用的(可站立、坐着或乘坐轮椅车)、永久安装的动力驱动楼道升降机的安全准则、尺寸和功能。
本标准适用于如下的楼道升降机：
a) 在固定层站之间的楼道或倾斜面上运行；
b) 额定速度不大于0.15 m/s；
c) 导轨与水平面的倾斜角不大于75°；
d) 运载装置由一条或多条导轨支撑或导向。
注： 楼道升降机的运行路径上不需要围栏。
