GB/T 24818的本部分规定了流动式起重机上的阶梯、楼梯、梯子、走道、平台、扶手、把手、护栏、进出司机室的出入口、检查或维护用平台的技术要求。同时还提出对安全防护设施的要求。
本部分还与GB/T 17299和GB/T 17300保持了协调性。装有塔身的流动式起重机还应考虑与GB/T 24818.3的协调性。
本部分适用于GB/T 6974.2 定义的流动式起重机。
