本标准规定了餐桌餐椅的术语和定义、分类与命名、要求、试验方法、检验规则及标志、包装、运输、贮存、使用说明。
 本标准适用于木质、金属、玻璃和石材等材料制作的供家庭或商业场所室内就餐使用的独立的、可移动的餐桌、餐椅(包括凳子，下同)。其他材料构成的产品可参照执行。
本标准不适用于可折叠或桌椅连为一体的餐桌餐椅，也不适用于儿童用餐桌餐椅和带电动转盘的餐桌。
