1.1 本标准规定了用于运输冷冻轻烃流体的船上膜式储罐和独立棱柱储罐的内部测量方法。除实际的测量过程外，还规定了用于货物数量计算的校准表和修正表编制的计算程序。
1.2 对于膜式储罐，本标准的程序是利用安装膜使用的脚手架来支承测量设备，而对于独立棱柱储罐，应使用其他的安全方式进入到要求测量的位置。
