GB/T 24986的本部分规定了家用和类似用途室内加热器（以下简称“加热器”)可靠性定量评价的常用参数及其评价方法。
本部分适用于便携式和驻立式的各类加热器，单相器具额定电压不超过250 V，其他器具额定电压不超过480 V的加热器。
本部分不适用于以下加热器：
--装在建筑物结构内的加热器；
--中央取暖系统；
--连接导风道的加热器；
--装有柔软电热元件的墙纸、毯子、帘子或管子；
--家用贮热式室内加热器；
--浴室电加热器（浴霸)。
