本标准规定了电工电子设备机柜机械门锁(以下简称机械门锁或产品)的术语和定义、产品的有关数据和资料、正常的使用、安装和运输条件、一般要求、机械性能要求、钥匙的互换性要求、镀涂层的要求、安全要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、贮存等。
本标准适用于额定电压为交流不超过1 000 V，频率不超过1 000 Hz或直流不超过1 500 V的机械门锁。
本标准不适用于有防盗功能的机械门锁。
