本标准规定了高压直流转换开关的术语和定义、使用环境条件、额定值、技术要求、型式试验、例行试验、特殊试验、现场试验等。
本标准适用于±800 kV及以下电压等级直流输电系统用直流转换开关，其中包括金属回线转换开关、大地回线转换开关、中性母线开关和中性母线接地开关。
本标准也适用于这些转换开关的操动机构及其辅助设备。
