本标准规定了电弧焊和电阻焊设备在正常工作情况下所产生的辐射电磁场场强的检测条件和评估方法。所涉及的电磁辐射频率为1 MHz 以下。根据目前对电磁辐射检测的实际能力，检测的频率是从10 Hz（或可更低）至400 kHz（或可更高）的范围。
本标准适用于电弧焊和电阻焊设备。
