本标准规定了石油工业钻井和修井作业用钢结构的要求和推荐作法，提供了统一的钢结构检定方法以及两种产品规范级别（PSL）。
本标准适用于生效日期后制造的所有新的钢制塔形井架、轻便井架（包括绷绳轻便井架和修井机轻便井架）、底座和天车总成。
注： 附录A规定了一些标准附加要求（SR），只有当采购方指定时才适用。附录B是关于注解的资料性附录，用来帮助理解本标准。附录C是关于采购指南的资料性附录，用来帮助采购方采购按本标准要求制造的设备。
