本标准规定了极限工作载荷不大于132 t的8级锻造或焊接钢制主环、中间主环、主环组件和下端环的技术要求。该连接环与下列索具一起用于起吊重物、材料或货物：
——GB/T 20652和GB/T 25853规定的吊链；
——GB/T 16762规定的钢丝绳吊索；
——EN 14921和 EN 14922规定的合成纤维吊装带。
本标准不适用于手工锻造连接环。
