本标准规定了采用蒸馏法测定石油产品中水含量的方法。
本标准适用于石油产品、焦油及其衍生产品，水含量的测定范围为不大于25％。
本标准可以测定水含量超过25％的试样，但其精密度未被考查过。
若试样中存在挥发性水溶性物质，将被作为水测出。
