本标准规定了含碘消毒剂（碘酊、碘伏）的原料和技术要求、应用范围、使用方法，检验方法，标志和包装、运输和贮存、标签和说明书及注意事项。
本标准适用于含有效碘18 g/L~22 g/L的碘酊和有效碘2 g/L~10 g/L的碘伏，用于皮肤、黏膜及手消毒的消毒剂。
本标准规定的伏类消毒剂是指由碘、聚乙烯吡咯烷酮（聚维酮）类和聚醇醚类非离子表面活性剂、碘化钾等组分制成的络合碘消毒剂。
