本标准规定了一种用于安装螺纹紧固件的动力装配工具的试验室性能试验方法，给出了试验规程和评价、表述试验数据的细则。
本标准适用于产生连续扭矩的动力工具。
本标准不适用于冲击式气扳机、棘轮式气扳机、带有棘爪离合器的气扳机或以间歇递增式拧紧紧固件、每次递增拧紧时都要克服静摩擦力的其他动力工具，因为这些动力工具的扭矩不能用普通型式的仪器进行测量。
本试验方法不能用作出厂检验方法。
