GB/T 26548的本部分规定了手持便携式动力驱动用于表面处理工序而非去除材料的抛光机，回转式、滑板式和复式磨光机手柄部位手传振动辐射测量的试验方法，确定了型式试验状态下操作机器时手柄握持部位振动量的型式检验程序。其测得的结果用于比较相同型式不同型号机器的振动量。
本部分适用于由气动或其他动力驱动的手持式机器（见第5章）。
本部分不适用于安装砂轮的直柄式砂轮机或砂带式磨光机。
注： 为避免混淆“动力工具”和“插入工具”， 本部分通篇采用“机器”代替“动力工具”。
