GB/T 2679的本部分规定了使用压缩试验仪测定纸和纸板环压强度的方法。
本部分适用于厚度范围在0.10 mm~0.58 mm的纸和纸板环压强度的测试。对于厚度低于0.28 mm的试样，测试结果为失稳破坏和纯压缩的合力。
注： 本部分也可用于厚度大于0.58 mm的纸和纸板环压强度的测试，在这种情况下，试样弯曲成圆环时可能会导致内部应力增加，从而导致测试结果不准确，此时应在试验报告中注明试样厚度超出本部分的适用范围。
