本标准规定了火花试验机的型号、技术要求、试验方法、检测规则、包装、运输和储存。
本标准适用于电线电缆专用试验设备中在线检测用，频率为50 Hz或60 Hz的交流火花试验机和直流火花试验机。

本标准不适用于脉冲式火花试验机、高频火花机、火花检漏仪以及其他用途的火花试验机。
