本标准规定了油气藏流体物性分析的基本原理，所用主要仪器、仪表的校验方法，油、气样品的检验，地层流体的配制、转样、分析测试及计算方法。
本标准适用于油气藏流体物性的测定。柱塞或活塞式PVT仪均可使用，其他类型的PVT仪器可参照执行。
