本标准规定了实施钢质管道几何变形检测和金属损失检测的技术要求。对检测周期、检测器的适用范围、检测准备、检测程序控制、检测报告内容和验收方法作出了规定。
本标准适用于输送介质为气体和液体的陆上钢质管道内检测，输送介质为气体和液体的海底钢质管道内检测可参照本标准执行。
