本标准规定了具有上、下小车，额定起重量为100 t～2 500 t、跨度不小于40 m的造船门式起重机的术语和定义、型式与基本参数、技术要求、试验方法、检测规则及标志、包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于在船厂的船坞、船台、平台，作为船体分段吊装及翻身作业的造船门式起重机（以下简称起重机）。
其他型式和规格的造船门式起重机可参照使用
