本部分规定了空气分离工艺中液态氧、液态空气、吸风口空气以及液氧槽罐中碳氢化合物的测定方法。本部分适用于氧气或空气中总碳氢化合物和C1～C4碳氢化合物的在线监测和离线检测。
本部分测定的C1～C4碳氢化合物包括：甲烷、乙烷、乙烯、乙炔、丙烷、丙烯、正丁烷、异丁烷、1，3-丁二烯。
本部分推荐测定这些组分但并不局限于这些组分。在具体监测时，应当合理分析空分装置周边环境，增加对空气和氧气中其他可能危及空分安全运行的有机组分的监测。
