本标准的本部分规定了基于SDH的自动交换光网络（ASON）传送平面、控制平面、管理平面、信令通信网（SCN）、保护恢复、ASON网络业务、与传统SDH网络的互通、规划模拟软件等方面的测试内容。
本部分适用于基于ITU-T G.783定义的SDH设备功能为传送平面的ASON网络。
注： 与传统SDH网络互通的测试见附录A，规划模拟软件的功能验证见附录B。
