本标准规定了YVF系列变频调速高压三相异步电动机的型式、基本参数与尺寸、技术要求、检验规则、试验方法，以及标志、包装及保用期的要求。
本标准适用于由变频器供电的、变频调速运行的高压笼型三相异步电动机，机座号355～630（以下简称电动机），电动机适用于拖动一般用途的恒转矩和二次方转矩特性的负载。
