本标准规定了采用带火焰光度检测器（FPD）的气相色谱仪测定气体中总硫、总有机硫和形态硫的方法。
本标准适用于氢、氧、氮、二氧化碳、甲醇合成气、氨合成气、干性天然气、焦炉煤气等气体中的总硫、总有机硫及形态硫的测定。总硫测定范围(以硫计)为0.07 mg/m3～2 mg/m3，形态硫的测定范围（以硫化氢中硫计）为0.07 mg/m3～7 mg/m3。
