GB/T 28799的本部分规定了冷热水用耐热聚乙烯（PERT）管道系统的术语和定义、符号和缩略语、使用条件级别、材料和卫生要求。
本部分适用于用PERT Ⅰ型和PERT Ⅱ型材料生产的管道系统。
本部分与GB/T 28799.2、GB/T 28799.3配合使用，适用于建筑冷热水管道系统，包括民用与工业建筑冷热水、饮用水和采暖系统等。
本部分不适用于灭火系统。
