本标准规定了预制灭火系统单元以特定型式、配置、规格和布置应用时构件和部件的性能要求，以及用于试验和部件评估的最低要求。
本标准适用于保护船用厨房排烟罩、排风管道、油炸锅及其他盛油器具的预制灭火系统的设计、试验和操作。
全新的或不同于本标准要求范围内产品的特征、特性、组件、材料或系统，且具有潜在火灾、电击或人员伤害风险的，可参照本标准采用组件或成品的适当的附加试验来评估。
注： 本标准包括的厨房烹调设备中，仅深油炸烹调设备按《海上人命安全公约》（SOLAS）第Ⅱ-2章10.6.4的要求配备固定式灭火系统。
