GB/T 29001规定了机床数控系统NCUCBus现场总线的数据类型和基本的数据传输方式，确立了NCUCBus用于机床数控系统及工业自动化控制过程而制定的通信协议规范。
GB/T 29001的本部分规定了NCUCBus网络拓扑结构、设备模型、网络层次模型、通信状态机的主要内容和通信过程一般原则。
本部分适用于机床数控系统。其他用途的数控系统可参照本部分。
