本标准适用于通过化学或电化学法对不锈钢的板材、型材和工件的氧化着色，高温氧化法不锈钢着色也可参照使用。
本标准不适用于采用其他方式进行的不锈钢着色，如离子沉积法、气相沉积法、有机物涂覆等。
