GB/T 2910的本部分规定了采用次氯酸盐法测定去除非纤维物质后由以下纤维组成的某些蛋白质纤维和某些非蛋白质纤维二组分混合物中蛋白质纤维含量的方法：
——羊毛、化学处理过的羊毛、其他动物纤维、蚕丝、酪朊再生蛋白纤维
和
——棉、铜氨纤维、粘胶纤维、莫代尔纤维、聚丙烯腈纤维、含氯纤维、聚酰胺纤维、聚酯纤维、聚丙烯纤维、玻璃纤维和弹性纤维。
如果织物中几种蛋白质纤维同时存在，此方法只能求出它们的总量而不能得到各自的量。
