本标准规定了H点和R点的确定程序。
<br/ 第4章规定了用于确定座椅实际H点和躯干角的HPM，以及测定座椅实际H点和躯干角时HPM的安放程序，适用于下列特征的机动车辆：
a) 驾驶员的踵点至乘坐基准点之间的垂直距离小于550 mm；
b) 躯干后倾角大于5°或由大腿杆表示的大腿中心线与水平线夹角大于5°。
第5章规定了使用HPM-Ⅱ检查（验证）车辆关键基准点和尺寸的程序及技术要求。HPM-Ⅱ规定了一种乘员乘坐空间和/或座椅的可靠的布置与测量的方法。
