本标准规定了中水再生利用装置（以下简称“中水装置”）的分类、工艺组合、通用要求、选型、检验及验收要求等。
本标准适用于以农业用水、工业用水、城镇杂用水、景观环境用水等为再生利用目标的中水再生利用装置。
本标准不适用于城镇污水处理厂及集中式工业园区污水处理厂的再生水回用。
