本标准规定了用于静止摄影的彩色负性相机胶片ISO感光度的测定方法。从这些胶片获得的彩色负片主要用于制作反射彩色照片，也可以用来制作彩色透明片。应用本标准得到的感光度可在实际拍摄时用于曝光表、曝光计算器和曝光对照表。
本标准不适用于电影摄影和航空摄影及制作中间负片用的彩色负性胶片。
