本标准规定了基础电泳装置的术语和定义、产品分类、基本参数、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志以及包装、运输、贮存。
本标准适用于电泳电压不大于10kV的分体式基础电泳装置（以下简称电泳装置）。
本标准不适用于定值输出的电泳装置和从加样、电泳、染色、脱色、凝胶扫描及结果处理等程序上进行半自动或全自动处理的电泳分析系统。
