GB/T 29256的本部分规定了测定织物中拆下纱线线密度的方法，包括从没有去除非纤维物质的织物中拆下纱线线密度的测定方法，以及从去除非纤维物质的织物中拆下纱线线密度的测定方法。
本部分适用于大多数机织物，不适用在一定伸直张力下不能消除纱线上的卷曲，以及在织造、整理和该方法分析过程中纱线受到破坏的织物。
注：用本部分的方法得到的织物中纱线的线密度可能与织造前原纱的线密度不同。
