本标准规定了不饱和聚酯树脂钮扣（以下简称聚酯钮扣）产品分类、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于以不饱和聚酯树脂为主要原料，加入适量添加剂，在特定设备和模具内进行凝胶、固化而成珠光或非珠光板、棒，经机械加工后制成的钮扣。
本标准不适用于成型后染色的聚酯钮扣。
