本标准规定了高加速寿命试验（Highly Accelerated Life Test，HALT）的一般要求、试验准备和试验方法。
本标准规定的高加速寿命试验，施加的试验应力包括高温步进、低温步进、快速温度变化循环、六自由度非高斯宽带随机振动等应力。
本标准适用于电工电子产品及其电子部件、印制电路板组件等。对于大型整机，宜优先考虑在前端的装配级别（如印制电路板组件、子模块）上进行试验。
本标准还适用于电工电子产品的研发、设计和（或）试产阶段，也可用于批量生产阶段。
