本标准规定了痕量分析用气体的深度纯化技术。经纯化后气体的目标组分含量的体积分数低于0.01×10-6，压力为0.1 MPa～18 MPa，流量为0.1 L/min～100 L/min。
本标准适用于仪表校准用零点气、气相色谱分析所用的载气和标准气体的平衡气。本标准适用的气体为氧气、氢气、氮气、氦气、氖气、氩气、氪气、氙气。
