本标准规定了玻璃纤维机织单向布（以下简称单向布）的术语和定义、产品代号、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于以玻璃纤维为主要原料，以机织工艺生产的单向织物。该织物经纬两个方向呈显著的主次结构，主次方向上的单位面积纱线质量比不小于4∶1。该织物主要用作纤维增强塑料的增强材料，例如制作风机叶片、船艇、交通（航空、列车、汽车等）运输箱体、体育器材、贮罐、管道等。
