本标准规定了额定电压直流不超过48 V，单相交流不超过250 V的卷帘及类似设备用电动管状驱动装置的术语和定义、分类与型号命名、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输、储存等。
本标准适用于电动机驱动，圆柱齿轮行星减速传动的，不带从动部件的卷帘及类似设备用电动管状驱动装置。
本标准不适用于住宅用垂直运动车库门的驱动装置、闸门、房门和窗的驱动装置、用于诸如飞机修理库等建筑物或重工业的驱动装置、剧院幕布的驱动装置、滑动或滚轴国旗的驱动装置。
