GB/T 30357的本部分规定了铁观音产品的分类与实物标准样、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志标签、包装、运输和贮存。
本部分适用于以铁观音品种的叶、驻芽、嫩梢为原料，依次经萎凋、做青、杀青、揉捻（包揉）、烘干等独特工艺过程制成的初制茶（或称毛茶）和经整形、归类等工艺制成的精制茶（或称成品茶）。
