本标准规定了日用塑料提桶的分类、要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、包装、运输和贮存。
本标准适用于桶身以聚丙烯、聚乙烯等树脂为主要原料，采用注塑成型法生产的，经组装附有提手的具有盛装功能的桶。
本标准不适用于与食品直接接触的日用塑料提桶，也不适用于盛装功能之外的其他功能用桶及垃圾桶。
