GB/T 3074的本部分规定了石墨电极热膨胀系数的测定原理、仪器设备、试样制备、试验步骤和结果计算。
本部分适用于普通功率、高功率、超高功率石墨电极及总膨胀量在600 ℃时不超过1 mm的其他固体炭材料，温度范围为室温～600 ℃的热膨胀系数。如需测试其他温度范围内的热膨胀系数，则可参照本方法进行。
